On composure
2018
Porcelain, stoneware
A collection of functional forms that explore the subtleties of composure. I experiment with the fine powder of porcelain and heavy scrape of earthenware in a varying combinations with one another, pushing it’s ability to retain elasticity and grit.
I explore possibilities of creating lightness through clays conventionally intended for retention of heat, visually indicative of the weight of earth, thick with resilience.
