A year-long trial of creating forms that pursue feeling over purpose. I meditate on the body as a vessel holding proof of growth while enduring phases of emptying, removal; an accumulation of absence.
Spring – Winter 2017
A collection of functional forms that explore the subtleties of composure.
I experimented with the fine grain of porcelain and heavy grit of earthenware in combinations with one another, pushing it’s ability to retain elasticity and grit.
Summer – Winter 2016
These pieces reflect my first year of getting acquainted with clay, only beginning to comprehend the complexity and skill required to tame the clay, learning to bring attention to an uncentered body and mind.
